"Treeing the devil"

Teleological arguments offer God as the best account, not for the mere occurrence of the world, nor for the general shape of the events that occur in it, but for the occurrence in it of events of special or miraculous sorts.

The real and the unreal seem to be mixed together so we hear of answered prayer that have produced healing, cures of diseases, diversion of natural weather all the way to victories at sporting events and available parking spots at shopping malls.

This is why Ockham's razor is used to take this argument away from those who use it to prove the existence of God.  In the confusion of what is real vs unreal, the task is to remove the event entirely and thus avoid that discussion.
